Awards, Scholarships, and Prize MoneyWe invite you to shop around and compare our accommodations, package prices, scholarships, and prize monies with other events. It wont take you long to see that by attending the Wisconsin State Dancesport Championships, you will get more bang for your buck!Top Teacher Prize Money -- $20,000
Note: Pro/Am entries only. For Pro/Am solo exhibitions, proficiency freestyles and Pro/am junior entries danced on Sunday, the teacher will receive 1 point for the entry towards top teacher.
Top Gun Teacher
Top Gun Pro-Am Male and Female
The title of Top Gun female student went to Elizabeth Rocco from Minneapolis. Elizabeth, with her instructor Eric Hudson, competed throughout the week in all four styles and at various levels to win this prestigious award. This is her First Top Gun title. Our Top Gun Male was Rick Brooks from Tennessee, with his instructor Shalene Archer. The competition was fierce, with many of his events involving quarter and semi-final rounds. Elizabeth and Rick made it to the finals and obtained the best overall averages to win.
Pro-Am and Amateur Showcase ChallengeThe top three solo exhibitions will dance on Thursday evening. The winner will be presented with a $200.00 scholarship!
Scholarship PurseLOOK AT THIS!!!! WE HAVE ADDED 20 NEW SCHOLARSHIP EVENTS!!! NOVICE (A & B-all styles) C division, BRONZE, SILVER, and OPEN in all styles!We have also added prize money to all six places in our Bronze and Silver Scholarships!
NOTE: Students must choose either A , B or C scholarship in each category, they may NOT dance more than one age division in the same style. This will allow more opportunity for more competitors!
Professional Divisions
Top StudioThe top 5 studios of the Wisconsin State Dancesport Championships will be recognized on Saturday evening. A studio must consist of at least 2 instructors and 5 students to qualify.
